The University of Kashmir has announced the start of the application process for PhD programmes for the academic year 2023-2024. The university offers various undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programmes in a wide range of subject areas.
The institution currently extends an invitation to any interested and qualified candidates who wish to pursue a PhD in one of its many academic specialties. As per the notification, the online application process for the PhD programmes commenced on 27 April 2023, and the last date for submitting the application form is May 17, 2023.

So, Who Can Apply?
The criteria or requirements for admission to the PhD programme vary from discipline to discipline. On the university’s website, they are comprehensively listed. Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in the appropriate discipline with a minimum of 55% (or 50% for applicants from the reserved category) in order to be eligible to apply.
Candidates who have earned an M.Phil degree from the University of Kashmir or another accredited institution with grades of “A” or “B” after giving an entrance exam are also eligible to apply for the PhD programme. The candidates’ M.Phil degree performance must have included at least a 55% grade point average or equivalent.
How To Apply?
A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 100 must be paid online to apply for the PhD programme. Candidates who meet the requirements can apply online at the University of Kashmir. There shall be a single 100 marks Entrance Test paper with three parts having the following break up:
Part I: General Aptitude, which places a focus on logical thinking, pictorial analysis, analytical and arithmetic abilities, quantitative comparisons, riddles, etc. Basic questions on key papers will make up Part 2. Advanced (higher value) questions on Core papers will make up Part 3.
