The Department of Psychology at Ranchi University was established in 1960. It has carried out many research projects sanctioned by national and international agencies. Special papers that are taught at the university include environmental psychology, clinical psychology, social psychology, and industrial psychology.
Ranchi Institute of Neuro-psychiatry & allied sciences (RINPAS) has announced applications for the following courses for the session 2023-2025.

Application Form for Entrance Exam
1) Last date for submission of application: 30.01.23
2) Application Form Fee: Demand draft of Rs 1200 to be enclosed with the application form (Rs. 600/- only in case of ST/SC Candidates of Jharkhand).
3) Documents Required: Original copies of all certificates, self attested photocopy of their final year mark sheet (P.G. Course/ M.Phil. as applicable), mark sheets, testimonials, caste certificate/residential/disability certificate if applicable.
4) The Roll No. of the qualified candidate of Entrance examination along with date and time of interview (Practical & Viva) will be displayed on the university website.
Documents to be carried during the interview include a certificate for age proof, one passport size photograph, mark sheets, certificates, certificates of professional course, caste certificate (as per Jharkhand Govt. rules), residential certificate (For resident of Jharkhand only), disability certificate (if applicable) documents related to work experience (if applicable). Service candidates must bring no objection certificate issued by the Head of the Institution.
The entrance exam will consist of hundred multiple-choice type questions to be filled with Blue / Black Ball Pen on the OMR sheet.
For Ph.D. candidates the cut off mark will be 50% for General & OBC candidates and 45% for SC & ST candidates. 2 (two) marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 (one) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There are no reservations for Ph.D. courses.
For M.Phil. candidates, they will be declared qualified in entrance examination on merit basis following roaster of Ranchi University/Jharkhand Govt. Practical examination as mandated by Rehabilitation Council of India which will take place after qualifying the entrance exam.
