In a way, it is the direct opposite of quiet quitting, a popular trend during the COVID-19 pandemic, where the employees do the bare minimum not to get fired.

Signs of silent firing may include increased workload, lack of support from the employer, and other factors that make the working conditions worse.
Increased Workload :
When employees face unexpected work demands and increased workload, it can lead to chronic stress and burnout. In the case of Silent Firing, a sudden increase in workload could be an indirect indication that the employer now wants you to quit on your own.

Imagine the employer starts to avoid interacting with you and whenever you are supervised, you only get to hear criticism.
