Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur welcomed Prof. Braj Bhushan as the Deputy Director. Prof. Braj Bhusan has also held several administrative positions at IIT Kanpur as well as other Institutions. He also has extensive administrative experience as Dean of Administration and Head of the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences. He is a researcher in the areas of Trauma Psychology, Cognitive Neuropsychology and Affective Science. He has also contributed in various fields of psychology specifically in the areas of Psychological Assessment, Affective Processing and Early Detection of Developmental Disorders such as Autism have been recognized globally. He is an elected Fellow of the British Psychological Society and an elected Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science, Washington, DC, USA.

These abilities will be greatly required in his position as Deputy Director, whose task is to keep the campus secure and functioning, and residents of the campus happy.” Said Director of IIT Kanpur Professor Manindra Agrawal and congratulated Professor Braj Bhushan for his new position through a Facebook post.
IIT Kanpur was established in 1959 by the Government of India and was declared as an Institute of National Importance under the Institutes of Technology Act. This prestigious institute offers various undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs along with PhD program. The institute also offers MSc courses in basic sciences, M.Des. and M.B.A. programs. It also provides an annual scholarship to the students.
