NIMHANS Opens Vacancy for the Program Coordinator

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) is seeking applications from qualified individuals to fill positions on a contractual basis.

These positions are part of the “Surveillance System to Track Suicide and Self-Harm – SURAKSHA” project, funded by the Himalaya Wellness Company. The project aims to develop a community-based suicide prevention model. The positions are under the supervision of Dr. Anish V Cherian, who is an Additional Professor in the Department of Psychiatric Social Work and serves as the Principal Investigator for the project. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply for these roles.

Qualifications:

  • M.Phil. In Psychiatric Social Work/Psychology or Master of Social Work, M.SC in Psychology with 2 years’ work experience in mental health.
  • Candidates with research experience in the field of suicide prevention are preferred.
  • Fluency in Kannada and English language is essential.

Work location: Ramanagara

Age limit 45 Years (Maximum)

Emoluments Rs.45, 000/- + 27% HRA per month Duration of the project 3 years.

The initial appointment will be made for six months, which will be extendable at the end of every six months till the end of the project, depending on the performance of the candidate and the requirements of the project.

Note:

  • The desirous candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above are advised to appear for Walk in cum written test with their Resume and Testimonials in original as well as a set of photocopies.
  • The candidates are required to register their names 10 minutes before the commencement of the written/skill test.
  • NOC from the Principal Investigator if working on projects (Extramural/Intramural)
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written/skill test.
