I am Nimisha Gupta, a practicing clinical psychologist with a passion for helping individuals navigate the complex landscape of their minds. My journey began at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) in Delhi, where I pursued my M. Phil, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
My quest for knowledge has led me to renowned institutions across the nation. I've honed my skills at IHBAS, Delhi, where I gained invaluable experience, and at the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat. Over the past 4 years, I've had the privilege of working with both adults and children, delving into the intricate realm of their mental health.
My expertise covers a broad spectrum of conditions. I'm well-versed in handling psychiatric challenges such as anxiety, depression, phobias, bipolar affective disorder (BPAD), panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), personality disorders, mood disorders, psychosis, anger management, stress management, as well as a range of behavioral and developmental issues. From ADHD and autism to intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties, I'm dedicated to assisting individuals in overcoming these obstacles.
Addressing environmental concerns is also a crucial aspect of my practice. I specialize in adjustment disorders, relationship issues, and more. My arsenal includes various psychological assessments, including those tailored for adults, children, and neuropsychological evaluations. I've been trained to utilize tools like rating scales, projective tests, personality assessments, and conflict assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each individual's unique situation.
My approach to therapy is multifaceted. I'm trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MB-CBT), Behavior Therapy, Relaxation Techniques, Exposure Response Prevention Therapy, and Cognitive Retraining. This diverse set of techniques allows me to tailor my approach to the specific needs of each client.
