I am Ashima Mahajan, a licensed Clinical Psychologist registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India. My dedication lies in patient education and the effective administration of therapy. I hold an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. In my practice, I work with individuals and groups, conducting psychotherapy sessions, psychological testing, guest lectures, seminars, and workshops.
Through careful observation, interviews, and psychometric tests, I possess the skill to evaluate patient behavior and mental state. My practice style is centered around the well-being and autonomy of my patients, placing their needs at the forefront.
Prior to my current role, I served as a school counselor, where I provided counseling services to students, conducted life-skill training sessions, and offered remedial training to children with specific learning disabilities. To expand my knowledge and keep up with the latest developments in the field, I actively participate in various workshops and seminars. Additionally, I deliver seminars and guest lectures to share these valuable learnings with others.
During my training, I had the opportunity to intern at VIMHANS in New Delhi, as well as receive training at NIMHANS in Bangalore's Family Therapy unit through a student exchange program. These experiences have enriched my professional journey and broadened my expertise.
On a personal level, I embrace and practice the philosophy of Nichiren Diashonin Buddhism. This philosophy emphasizes the infinite potential and high life force inherent in all individuals. I wholeheartedly believe in Nichiren's humanistic philosophy, which empowers individuals to face real-world challenges and make positive changes in their lives.
In summary, as a licensed Clinical Psychologist, I am committed to providing patient-focused care, empowering individuals, and continuously expanding my knowledge and skills to better serve those who seek my assistance.
