I am a qualified Psychoanalyst and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, Loreto College, Kolkata. My doctoral degree is in Psychoanalytical Psychology, for which I also received the Junior Research Fellowship from ICMR. I have been practising psychoanalysis and psychoanalytical psychotherapy since 2012 and am a member of both the Indian Psychoanalytical Society, Kolkata and the International Psychoanalytical Association, London. I have also been recently appointed as an Assistant Editor for the journal published by the Indian PSychoanalytical Society, titled "Samiksha". My research interest lies in Psychoanalysis, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Psychoanalytic Psychology, Personality, Child Psychology Paranoia, Schizophrenia, Narcissism, Clinical Psychology, psychological analysis of literature and movies. I am extremely passionate about doing research in Developmental and Personality psychology because of my inclination to use them in educational and therapeutic purposes. Other than my academic and clinical interests, I indulge in pottery, writing, travelling and photography.
