During her career spanning 23+ years, Ekta has worked across sectors with her corporate roles centered around business development and marketing. Before her corporate stint, Ekta was a retail entrepreneur for 10 years. She finally moved into the social sector 7 years back. That is when Ekta joined as the Project Coordinator - South for SAMVAD Advocacy. She has also founded Invisible Scars (Against Domestic Abuse) Poorn Viraam (Zero Tolerance To Rape). She works closely with other NGOs as well as Bharosa and the SHE teams. Ekta is currently a member of the executive council of the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) due to her active role in the space of domestic abuse and sexual harassment at the workplace. She is an external member in the IC of 2 start up companies. Ekta is a member of SAHE – Society for Advancement of Human Endeavour, a not for profit society, working in the space of water, education, healthcare and technology. Ekta is a core member of the TEDxHyderabad team and the license holder for TEDxHyderabadWomen. She has been recognized as an enabler who can facilitate connections leading to result oriented positive social impact
