Dr Harleen Kaur is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the School of Psychological Sciences, CHRIST Deemed to be University, Delhi NCR Campus. She also serves as a Coordinator of the International Cell at her university's Office of International Affairs. She was an ICSSR-Junior Research Fellow under the Indian Council of Social Science Research, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Dr Kaur earned her PhD in Psychology from Banaras Hindu University. Internationally recognized, her career is marked by numerous awards and prestigious titles, including being one of the 40 young scientists selected quadrennially as an ‘Emerging Psychologist’ by the International Union of Psychological Sciences (IUPsyS) and the International Congress of Psychology (ICP 2024), the world’s largest and most influential psychological event. The IUPsyS is a United Nations- and World Health Organization-accredited global umbrella organization for psychology. She was also a Vice-Chancellor Fellow (Teaching) at Banaras Hindu University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of cross-cultural psychology, social justice, gender, sexuality, and health, with a growing emphasis on political and peace psychology. She has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences and has an extensive portfolio of scholarly publications. Additionally, she is actively involved in various national and international research projects and is a member of several prestigious global organizations. Throughout her academic tenure, Dr. Kaur has collaborated with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, where she served as an Indian delegate sent abroad by the Government of India. She is a sought-after speaker who frequently shares her insights and expertise on national and international platforms. She is known for her hard work and commitment to lifelong learning, continually expanding her knowledge and making meaningful contributions to the field of academia.
