Sara Ali Khan made her debut in the year 2018 with Kedarnath. She has been famous for her carefree nature and simplicity ever since. She also gained fame with various commercially successful films like Simba, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, and Atrangi Re. But being an actor and a nepotism kid comes with its own set of drawbacks. She spent most of her childhood in the spotlight with her parents and grandparents being celebrities. But it looked more appealing to her than it actually was and she realized that she had to put immense hard work and dedication to prove herself to the viewers and gain their acceptance.

In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Sara Ali Khan opened up about her journey, her perception of the industry, dealing with failures, social media, and how all that affects her mental health and how she deals with it.

Staying Mentally Healthy

On the subject of prioritizing her physical or mental health, she said that ‘balance is the key.’ For her, it is crucial to focus on the self-care journey and integrate mindfulness into everyday lives to align our emotional, mental, and physical health, enhancing our overall well-being. Moreover, it is notable that we, as a society, are finally giving the same attention to mental health.

She has faced failures and criticism as an actor at times, but rather than getting disheartened, she views them as learning opportunities and scope for overall growth. She views every setback as a teaching moment and approaches them with a different strategy and attitude.

Social media, for Sara, is a helpful platform to associate with her fans and receive their opinions and views on her work. She can then consider the feedback and incorporate it into her work. However, it is also a platform for trolling and receiving extremely hateful and negative comments which can hamper mental well-being. While it is tough to face it, she has become resilient over time. She states that she tries not to let it affect her sense of self and aims for improvement.

A Holistic Approach To Health and Fitness

Physical fitness is a cornerstone in Sara’s life and she ensures that she works out every day in the morning for an hour by blending different kinds of exercises. It makes her feel more fulfilled, stronger, and confident. On the same note, she also shares that she has been eating healthy and clean to keep her weight in check and stay healthy. While it is important to eat what one enjoys, it is equally important to be mindful of the food consumed and its nutritional value.

She also practices meditation which helps her to reduce stress and improve concentration. Moreover, gratitude journaling aids her to remind everything she is thankful for and sort out her thoughts and feelings. According to her, spending time with loved ones and moments of solitude are equally essential for well-being. She also enjoys reading and traveling in her free time.

While the spotlight is rewarding for Sara, the journey, the relationships, and the growth is what makes everything worthy and truly meaningful.
