A rescue operation by Mumbai police was done after Interpol detected a suicide alert, after a 28-year-old man resident of Malvani in Malad West, searched up “Suicide best way” on Google. Probing by police found that the man was under pressure and depression as he was unable to release his mother from jail since her arrest on a criminal case two years ago. The official said that he has been jobless for six months, stressed as he’s unable to release her from jail. Suicide-related thoughts set him to search online for ideas.
The man searched “suicide best way” several times, which caught the attention of Interpol officials. The Interpol officials sent a mail to Mumbai Police including the man’s contact details that supported tracking the location of the man. Mumbai Police took action by rushing to the place locating the man, taking him into custody, and providing necessary counseling and support.
