Applications Open for Advance Diploma in Child Guidance and Counseling, NIPCCD Guwahati, 2023

The Advance Diploma in Child Guidance and Counseling (ADCGC) admission forms are available for NIPCCD regional center, Guwahati.
The National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD) is an organization under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the Government of India. Established in 1966, the organization works towards volunteering action, training and documentation of work and events related to women and child development.

The institute has developed five regional centers nationwide to cater to regional-specific requirements. These regional centers are Guwahati, Bangalore, Indore, Lucknow and Mohali. Guwahati, the Regional center, came into being in 1978 and has had extension services of counseling provided through a child guidance center for the community since 2003. The course of ADCGC started in 2021, is affiliated with Gauhati University.

Eligibility

One can apply for the course if they fulfill the following criteria:

1. Applicants should have studied English (Elective/ core/ functional) at 10+2 level or higher (01 paper).
2. Applicants should have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Social Work/ Psychology/ Child Development/ Community Resource Management / Development Communication and Extension / Nursing / Special Education – anyone.

Or,
M.Ed. from a recognized University.

Or,
A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in Social work / Psychology / Child Development/ Human Development/ Community Resource Management / Development Communication and Extension / Nursing / Special Education and a minimum of 05 years of experience working with children.

Or,
B.Ed. from a recognized University with a minimum of 04 years of experience working with children.

How to apply?

Once you match the eligibility, you can fill out the application form by clicking and downloading it from the website https://www.nipccd.nic.in/. The form can also be collected from NIPCCD, Regional Centre, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati, Assam, Pin- 781022. Filled application, along with a demand draft of Rupees 200 (non-refundable), which is the fee application has to be sent to NIPCCD, Regional Centre, Guwahati, on or before 14th July 2023. The demand draft should favor NIPCCD, Regional Centre, Guwahati.

Outstation students can email the filled application form, scan, copy and demand to adcgcghynipccd@gmail.com. However, the hard copy has to be sent to the institute through speed post on or before 14th July 2023.

Self-assessed documents to be submitted along with the application form:

1. Four passport sizes and One thumb size photograph
2. Education Qualification supporting documents from High School Level Certificate to Post Graduation
3. Previous University Registration Certification
4. Migration Certificate (if available)
5. Permanent Residence Certificate
6. Experience Certificate (if applicable)

● Tentative Date and Time of Written Entrance Exam: July 24, 2023 (10.00 am – 12.00 pm)

● Tentative announcement of Final list of Eligible candidates for admission: July 31, 2023

Admission Procedure

1. Applicants must have 50 per cent aggregate marks in their qualifying degree. Candidates with pending results can also apply; however, they must clear the appeared exam by November.
2. Admission will be based on a written entrance exam, group discussion and personal interview.
3. The organization will call the top 30 candidates for group discussion and personal interviews based on the written exam.

● Security Deposit (Refundable) 5,000/-
Gauhati University, NIPCCD, RC (G) has to receive a total payment of 56,000 in two installments.
