Recruitment Notification for Professor& Assistant Professor

Applications are invited for the permanent posts of Professor and Assistant Professor in Psychology in the University of Calicut. The candidates can apply through online mode. Candidates must send a self-attested copy of educational qualification, community, age, experience or equivalents. Candidates, who have their qualifications from outside Kerala, should upload their documents at the time of filling the application form. Already working employees kindly submit their NOC with their application form. Shortlisted candidates must bring 6 self attested copies of all the relevant documents in support of their claim including credentials in proof of the API scores claimed for verification at the time of interview/screening.

PAY SCALE: Level 14(Professor) and Level 10(Assistant Professor)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 55% marks at Master’s level is compulsory (5% relaxation to some specific categories).

• FOR PROFESSOR: PhD Degree in psychology or in allied /relevant discipline, published high quality of research work, a minimum of 10 published research works in the peer reviewed or in UGC listed journals (a total research work score of 120 as per the criteria of UGC regulation 2018) with a minimum experience of 10 years in research or teaching at university or national level.

An outstanding professional with a PhD degree in the relevant/allied/ applied disciplines from any academic institution industry, contributing to the knowledge related to the discipline with 10 years of experience.

• FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: Along with Master’s degree, candidate must have cleared NET conducted by UGC or CSIR or a similar accredited by UGC, like SLET/SET or who have been awarded with PhD in accordance with UGC.

PhD degree has been obtained from the foreign university/ with a ranking among top 500 in the world university rankings (at any time) by any of the following: Quacqarelli Symonds (QS), the Times Higher Education (THE) and the Academic Rank of World Universities (ARWU) of Shanghai Jiaotong University (Shanghai).

APPLICATION FEE:

• Rs 2000/- (for Assistant Professor) and Rs 3000/- (for Professor).

• SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs 200/- for Assistant Professor and Rs 300 /- for the post of Professor.
